Gigabyte GA-8KNXP

..:: Introduction ::..

Intel’s i875P “Canterwood” chipset has been in the public eye for roughly two months now, and it has raised the eyebrows of many performance enthusiasts. As we have seen previously with the GA-8PE800, several motherboard manufacturers are now hitting the market with several “800MHZ FSB Capable” motherboards that are based off of the older i845PE chipset. These boards also boast support for the latest power specifications from Intel, VRM 10.0, something you may see advertised for these products or silk screened on the motherboard’s PCB. Today we’ll be taking a look at another board from Gigabyte, this time it will be the GA-8KNXP. Unlike its beefier sibling, the GA-8KNXP Ultra, this version does not boast support for onboard Ultra320 SCSI, which will save you a large amount of green in the end.
