"Taking care of storage duties, the Pure Black P67 Hydra features a total of eight SATA connectors. Four red-coloured ports provide SATA 6Gbps performance (two are powered by the P67 chipset, two from a Marvell 88SE9128 controller), while a further three black-coloured ports deliver previous-generation SATA 3Gbps speeds. The eighth takes for the form of an eSATA port on a well-equipped rear I/O panel."

"The layout of the PURE P67 is one that looks as if something was missing. However, with just a look at the list of features on the PURE P67 and you will see that it is one of the more complete motherboards on the market. USB 3.0 and SATA III( with additional 2 port controller) are just the smallest bit of the options list, but it goes beyond that. How does Bluetooth and Lucid technology sound?"

"Sapphire are GPU manufacturers at their heart, but they’ve been known to dip into other markets in the past few years; perhaps one of the most interesting ones being motherboards. Today I’m looking at their latest foray into the mobo game, the Sapphire Pureblack P67 Hydra. It’s got 4 PCIe ports, an onboard post and CPU temperature readout and some nice onboard power switches. Lets get investigating."
