ASUS boards have holes for both standards, but in the case of LGA 1200, you need to make sure of the clamping force. The processor itself did not become higher or lower, but most likely the socket itself became a little lower and the processor substrate became thinner. All these are microns, but you need to take into account even them, so it is better to once again just make sure of the strength of the clamping, and somewhere, if really the edge, slip a copper plate. Double holes for mounts are even on the top boards such as ASUS Maximus Z690 Hero.
