In terms of storage and connectivity, the MEG Z590 ACE GOLD EDITION sports quad Optane-supported M.2 slots (Gen4/3 x4), Intel 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, HDMI 2.0b, and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports. In short, practically every component has been selected for maximum speed and minimal limitations, all of which gives elite power users an “ACE” up their sleeves over regular systems.

MEG Z590 UNIFY – PURE BLACK, PURE PERFORMANCE

Tailored for hardcore gamers and enthusiast users, the MEG UNIFY series motherboard consists of a modest and pure black design, emphasizing the true value of the motherboard that can be brought to the demanding gamers and power users instead of fancy LED decorations. MSI puts great effort into those essential parts, enhancing not only the thermal but also power solution to run with the Intel multi-core processors.

EXTREME-POWER

It has a hefty VRM Mirrored Power Arrangement with a total of 16+2+1 Phases, 90A Smart Power Stage (SPS), and Titanium choke III. Combining dual 8-pin power connectors and exclusive Core Boost technology, the MEG Z590 UNIFY and MEG Z590 UNIFY-X are ready to push even the latest Intel 11th Gen Core processors to their limits.

TRIPLE-GEN4-M.2

All MSI 500 series motherboards with 11th Gen Intel Core processors support PCIe 4.0 M.2 solution which is the fastest onboard storage on the market. The MEG Z590 UNIFY and MEG Z590 UNIFY-X feature onboard quadruple M.2 connectors with Shield Frozr for the enhanced storage performance. The industry-leading design maximizes bandwidth to fully utilize high-end storage devices, provides maximum triple Lightning Gen 4 solution with up to 64 Gb/s transfer speed and multiple configurations for demanding gamers and power users.

MEG Z590 UNIFY-X – WORLD RECORD BREAKER

The MEG Z590 UNIFY-X comes with only 2 DIMM slots for an even clearer memory signal to explore the boundaries of memory overclocking and is ready to surpass all limits. Today, MSI’s in-house overclocker, Toppc breaks the world record in April of 2021 once again, pushing the DDR4 speeds to an incredible 7200MHz with MEG Z590 UNIFY-X and Kingston HyperX Predator memory! This not only sets another memory overclocking record for MEG Z590 UNIFY-X but also reveals the combined power with Kingston HyperX Predator DDR4 memory.

MSI MAG B560M MORTAR WIFI – eTeknix

Having our first proper look at the board, we can see the heatsinks are of a light silvery colour while the PCB is black. This should still allow the B560M MORTAR WIFI to fit in with most build colour schemes with ease. We can also see at first glance this board should have most of the ports/headers/connections users will need to make the most out of the B560 chipset. We have dual M.2 slots, one of which is Gen4. We also have a few of each RGB and fan headers to make sure that we can keep our build as cool as possible, in both senses of the word ‘cool’.

MSI MAG B560 TOMAHAWK WIFI – Hardware-Inside

The MSI MAG B560 Tomahawk WIFI is currently available in stores at a price of around € 190. The B560 variant also supports PCIe 4.0 and it also has three M.2 connections. The other connection options are also impressive. Regarding the power supply, the temperatures could be lower, but it is more than sufficient. The only small point of criticism is the lack of a BIOS flash button. We give a clear recommendation.

MSI B550-A PRO – Hardware-Journal

A quick look under the cooler reveals the build-up of tension. Compared to its predecessor, the manufacturer uses two more virtual or one real phases. Another controller was necessary for this. The IR35201 used is often also used for higher-priced boards. The controlled phases, on the other hand, are of a simpler nature and were already used in the same structure with the B450 model. Each phase consists of 4C029N / 4C024N MOSFETs from ON Semiconductor with 46A. There are a total of 10 of them for the CPU and four for the SoC, whereby two of them are always bundled into one. IR3598 are used as a driver or doppler.

MSI MEG Z590 ACE – Vortez

From a high-performance model like ACE we expect MSI to go over and above in the features department and for the most part they do deliver. There are voltage checkpoints, EZ Debug LED, onboard power/reset buttons, dual BIOS switch and amplified connectivity such as Thunderbolt 4 which is lovely to see. We also like that ACE can support up to 5400MHz DDR4 and serves up 4x PCIe M.2 SSD slots.

MSI MPG B560I GAMING EDGE – PC Gamer

A short stress test resulted in a VRM temperature reading of 73°C with a stock 11900K, which is the highest we’ve seen out of the 500-series motherboards we’ve tested to date. Though it still well within spec, If Adaptive Boost were to be enabled, the VRM would likely struggle. Having said all that, an 11900K paired with a B560 board is an unlikely combo and because it handled it with zero issue, it will handle more worldly 11th Gen processors with ease.

MSI MPG Z590 GAMING CARBON WIFI – Pokde

The contents of the MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon WiFi’s packaging are really complete, with everything you would need for your build, including a little screwdriver. Unfortunately the screwdriver doesn’t work with the smaller M.2 screws, but I guess you should have your own precision tools set. I also really like that MSI replaced the typical driver CD with a thumb drive that looks very sweet too. Bonus points are given for the brush in the box as well, complete with two ends, one softer and one stiffer to dislodge more stubborn dirt during your maintenance later in the MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon WiFi’s lifecycle.

MSI MPG Z590 GAMING CARBON WIFI – PurePC

MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Carbon WiFi thanks to the Intel Z590 chipset enables the use of the full potential of the LGA1200 platform with Intel Comet Lake / Rocket Lake processors, because traditionally only “Zetka” allows for free overclocking. The setting of higher RAM memory dividers has been unlocked for Intel B560 / H570 chipsets, but the experience so far shows that models based on weaker logic systems offer less possibilities here.

MSI MAG Z590 TORPEDO – itndaily

Why is the MSI MAG Z590 Torpedo device of interest to an overclocker? Yes, because a solid Duet Rail power subsystem (14 + 2 + 1) is installed here, cooled by powerful radiators. The CPU has a pair of connectors (8 + 4-pin), so power problems during overclocking are excluded.

The MSI MAG Z590 Torpedo has a large number of drive connectors. These are six classic SATA III sockets , and as many as three M.2 sockets , one of which is called Lightning M.2, it is able to host a PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD.

By the way, only three mentioned connectors are protected by radiators, one remained completely bare , but in our opinion, this is an insignificant problem, given that many high  speed solid – state devices are equipped with miniature aluminum plates.

MSI MPG B560I GAMING EDGE WIFI – eTeknix

The MSI B560I GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard is a more affordable ITX option for those looking to upgrade to Intel’s new 11th Gen of CPUs. Coming with most of the main features we have seen from Z590, the B560 chipset is looking to make its mark on the market. MSI has gone with dual M.2 drive slots, four SATA slots, plenty of USB options and more to make sure you are getting the most from your new hardware. The price is only going to make the deal that much sweeter and will ultimately be what persuades people to go with B560 over Z590.
