COLORFUL-CVN Z690M GAMING FROZEN V20 – FunkyKit

In this review, we will be taking a look at the CVN Z690M, which is the latest Colorful motherboard from their Gaming Frozen series. As the name suggests, the motherboard comes in a cold and frosty colors, which is mainly white and silver. I’m glad to see that Colorful keeps delivering black and white versions of the higher motherboard series. It gives a chance to design a PC in two different themes, and it’s not hard to notice that white motherboards do look special. It would be even better if one day we see a comeback to colorful PCBs like yellow, green, or red.

MSI MPG X570S CARBON EK X – PCWorld

The MSI X570S Carbon EK X is a special motherboard—as you’ll be able to tell at first glance. It’s nearly identical to the regular MSI X570S Carbon Max, but adds a water-cooled monoblock from EKWB in place of traditional VRM heatsinks. Coming in at $499 to $549, the EK X variant asks a hefty premium over the $319-$339 air-cooled Carbon Max. (The majority of that cost being the monoblock itself.)

H610 motherboards are the most affordable onramp to Alder Lake, and Asus’ Prime H610M-A D4 is the best model we’ve tested. It’s a good option for gamers and mainstream productivity users who don’t need all of the connectivity, overclocking, and extra expense of other chipsets. Just know that, while flagship i9 CPUs are supported, you’re better off with an i5.

GIGABYTE X570 AORUS MASTER – PCWorld

The X570 Aorus Master is still a very respectable motherboard, with just the right features-to-cost ratio. When you consider the vast available pool of DDR4 RAM and Ryzen CPUs that are now heavily discounted, it’s still a sensible choice. Keep in mind that later this year there will be new chipset upgrades for AMD’s Ryzen and X570 will be surpassed.
