– MBReview.com Management

Welcome to the New MBReview.com!

Well, I’ve decided to join the modern era of web design here at MBR as we have upgraded to a new CMS. This should allow for implementation of far more useful features, better integration of forums, and more. I’ll be working over the next few days to get the site fully up and running. I’ll be porting over the more recent boards from the old database into this new system as soon as possible. If you explore, you’ll see that I already have posted several X58 and AMD Chispet based boards in the new Review Database. Enjoy!

Updated #1 – The new MBR Forums are up and running. Make an account and start a discussion.

Update #2 – All legacy motherboard, CPU, and some misc. reviews and articles have been posted in the In-House Reviews section.

Update #3 – English not your primary language? Try using the new “Translations” toolbar on the right side of the page. Click a flag, or select the language from the drop-down menu.

Update #4 – Why not subscribe to our new RSS Feed?

ASUS MARS (Dual GTX 285 4096MB)

ASUS MARS (Dual GTX 285 4096MB) @ Guru3D

“If you have been living under a rock and don’t know what the ASUS Mars is .. let me give you an easy breakdown. You take two GeForce GTX 285 graphics cards, stick 4 GB of memory on there (2GB per GPU), sandwich them, SLI them up, market it as MARS, slap a limited edition label on there and make only a 1000 units.”

ASUS GeForce GTX 285 Matrix ROG

ASUS GeForce GTX 285 Matrix ROG @ TweakTown

“The ASUS Matrix GTX 285 has really been a long time coming, noticed originally at Computex it was only going to be a matter of time before we got the hot little product in our hands. Following the Matrix naming scheme, the GTX 285 is the latest model to get welcomed into the lineup with open arms.”

ASUS P5P55D Pro Preview

ASUS P5P55D Pro Preview @ TechGage

“I was amazed how much bundle I found with this motherboard : plenty of hardware components, but also a lot of useful utilities on the CD. The board performance was excellent and when I was overclocking, I never needed to reset the CMOS even once. When the board was not recovering, all I had to do was to push the Force Reset button, and the board was booting fine; I could modify this way the settings that did not work on the previous boot.”

ASUS P7P55D Deluxe Preview

ASUS P7P55D Deluxe Preview @ PCStats

“ASUS’ P7P55D-Deluxe motherboard is a socket 1156 Core i5 platform representing the flagship feature set. Along with the obvious support of Intel Lynnfield socket 1156 processors, the ASUS P7P55D-Deluxe motherboard features three PCI Express 2.0 x16 videocard slots for multi-graphic card set ups. Further expansion comes via a pair of PCI Express x1 and PCI slots. The P7P55D-Deluxe supports ATI Quad-GPU CrossfireX and nVidia Quad-GPU SLI, though you’d be hard pressed to find many users clamoring for a Geforce right now.”

MSI 785GM-E65

MSI 785GM-E65 @ Bjorn3D

“The biggest enhancement for the 785G would be its updated graphic controller base on the HD 4200. Most noticeably, improvements over the older 780G chipset would be the UVD 2.0 support for full MPEG-2/VC-1/H.264 hardware acceleration, DVI and HDMI output, and HDCP encoding. The chipset also supports DirectX 10.1 so it would be fully ready for Windows 7.”

Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H

Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H @ Bjorn3D

“Being it has been a few years since I even remotely tried overclocking an AMD CPU I was unsure what the AMD 4000+ 2.1 GHz Brisbane dual core could do. Since the original motherboard I used in the girls computer would only allow a mere 2.5Ghz overclock. I am pretty sure this GIGABYTE motherboard could take this little dual core CPU to new levels. Question remains, how far will this CPU go?”
