ASRock B550 Taichi

ADATA Falcon 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD

Patriot Viper 4 Blackout DDR4-3600 64GB

We’ve said it time and time again that it is hard to find a solid DDR4 memory kit that does not have RGB lighting. Well Patriot wants to change that with their new Viper 4 Blackout DDR4 memory. This modules feature an all black design (hence the Blackout name), which will more or less match any build out there. The kit we are taking a look at today is the PVB464G360C8K which is a 64GB (2x16GB) kit running at 3600 MHz with timings of 18-20-20-40 at 1.35V.

Crucial Ballistix MAX RGB DDR4 32GB 4000MHZ

The only other model which was able to exchange blows with the Ballistix MAX kit is the equally fast (slightly faster actually if we also take timings into account) Trident ROYAL kit by GSkill. Unfortunately, due to motherboard limitations the X299 system wouldn’t boot no matter what i did at frequencies over 4GHz so i had to use the Z390 system for overclocking, even though it ended going up to just 4200MHz (i was expecting a stable 4400MHz which didn’t happen, not with 1.4V and CL19)
