As for the power stage, we have 14 + 2 phase DrMOS SPS TI CSD59880 70A power supplies with a Renesas ISL69269 controller configured in 7 + 2 phases. No phase doubler, but a “Teamed” configuration. The board has six layers of PCB. The VRMs are cooled by two heat sinks connected via a heat pipe. In addition, ASUS provides a small 40mm fan as a bundle that can be positioned above the heatsinks to help with cooling. We will test this later in this article. The audio part is managed by a SupremeFX ALC4080 chip.
