The ASRock B460 Steel Legend is an awesomely named mid-range B460 entry. At $120 USD it’s what we’d call a mid-range B460 board. A look over the specs indicate that your $120 is well spent on some important areas. You get a pair of heatsink covered M.2 slots, an e-key M.2 slot for an optional Wi-Fi card, a front USB Type-C header and a good helping of RGB onboard, plus an additional two RGB headers and two ARGB headers.

Meet one of the nicer and smallest B550 Chipset based motherboards we review, the Mini-ITX based ASUS STRIX B550-I Gaming, at 17x17cm ASUS loaded this B550 motherboard with some good features including dual M2 slots, 2.5 GigE Ethernet, AX WIFI and a nicely designed VRM. Well, simply put it’s nearly a mega motherboard at a mini size.

ASRock B550 Taichi

The ASRock B550 Taichi — and other B550 boards priced close to $300 — are in a peculiar space. While the B550 Taichi looks the part and is, by most accounts, a premium motherboard, it still isn’t X570. But if you are willing to shell out $300 for a B550 motherboard, the Taichi has that high-end look, performs well, and brings enough features to stand with its peers.

The BIOSTAR Racing B460GTA features dual M.2 slots, each with their own full coverage heatsink, RGB lighting, a large VRM heatsink, and even an integrated rear I/O cover. It is advertised as being built for commercial and casual use, which fits in nicely with the capabilities of the B460 chipset.

Best AMD Motherboards: July 2020

We’ve had the chance to review and analyze quite a few X570 boards to date, but one of the standout models boards that piqued our interest during testing was the GIGABYTE X570 Aorus Xtreme, which is the only X570 board to include a passively cooled chipset heatsink.

MSI MEG Z490 GODLIKE
