Out of the box, the Ryzen 7 3800X offers a better mixture of single- and multi-threaded performance than Intel’s competing chips, and support for the PCIe 4.0 interface unlocks the potential of ultimate storage throughput. The impressive power efficiency and performance make for a compelling upgrade, but value-seekers who aren’t afraid of minimal tuning should look to the less-expensive Ryzen 7 3700X for similar performance.

There are big and little things of note when it comes to motherboard design and use, and the biggest is of course functionality. While these AORUS boards have been used exclusively for benchmarking they are gaming models (if only there was time for gaming) meant for both high performance and greater durability – which is a great combo for a test bench scenario, too.

With the X570 chipset ASRock wants to continue that tradition. ASRock has really seemed to go all out with this motherboard, if you look at all of ASRock’s current Taichi boards this is definitely the best looking out of the bunch and really stands out. ASRock has loaded this board with some pretty awesome RGB lighting and a large heatsink that covers the entire bottom half of the board.
