The new motherboards support newer boost features, and that is their main improvement over their B350 counterparts. The B450 Aous Pro WIFI is targeted towards budget users who want more bang for their buck but don’t want to give up looks and features.

Announced back in January 2018, the Xeon W launch was somewhat unexpected: we had reason to believe that Intel would introduce components for the consumer high-end desktop socket with ECC, however what form that would take was unknown, especially with processors up to 18 cores being released on the consumer side. Intel would ultimately have to draw parity with the Xeon W line, potentially causing a shift in its single socket market on the server side as well.

On the surface, the Asus TUF X470-Plus Gaming looks to be a low-end board with Asus branding slapped onto it. Fortunately, the frugal facade is misleading, as this TUF motherboard performs quite well in all but one metric, making it a good overall product and a great foundation for an AMD-based TUF Alliance gaming build.

The introduction of AMD’s X470 chipset was an unspectacular affair, bringing only a handful of incremental improvements over the preceding X370 chipset. X470 motherboards reflect this trend too with manufacturers, like ASUS with its ROG Strix X470-F Gaming, using X470 as a justification to refresh existing X370 motherboards with some of the latest features and design innovations that have developed since.

Today we take a look at ASRock’s X470 Taichi motherboard, one of the brands better known and widely enjoyed SKUs. In fact, we reviewed the Taichi Ultimate version with more high-end features, and today we are looking at a motherboard that costs roughly $60 less with a similar feature set. Both of the Taichi models offer up RGB, but their heat sink and cover colors are opposite of each other.

The Pentium Gold G5600 offers solid gaming performance if you plan to pair your processor with a discrete GPU. Unfortunately, overclocking isn’t an option. If you intend to use the Pentium Gold G5600 without add-in graphics, expect Intel’s UHD Graphics 630 engine to fall short of AMD’s less expensive Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega graphics.
