MSI X399 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

Maximising upon the CPU’s peripheral potential and building around that huge, 4,094-pin socket and eight DIMM slots requires solid research and development. MSI tips its hat into the ring with the Gaming Carbon Pro AC, priced at £325 or so. That may sound expensive on first glance, but it is considered to be at the lower end of the TR4 scale, so let’s see what you get.

GIGABYTE X299 AORUS GAMING 7

There’s a strange divergence in the X299 motherboard segment at the moment where certain motherboards are oriented towards consumers looking to use cheaper Kaby Lake-X CPUs and other motherboards towards Intel’s premium Skylake-X. Gigabyte’s X299 Aorus Gaming 7 is clearly designed and fit for the Skylake-X audience.

Equipped with Triple M.2 with Thermal Guard, 120dB SNR ALC1220, Killer E2500 Gaming Network, Front & Rear USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, Intel Dual Band 802.11ac WiFi+BT4.2, and so much RGB lighting, we could write a whole review just about that.
