In testing, the AORUS and Hero were consistently at the top of our charts, with the Xtreme taking more of the CPU-designed testing like PCMark and CrossMark, where the Hero was a bit better in 3DMark. In real-world gaming, both of these boards performed identically. Storage performance was a bit lower, 10 MB/s for the Xtreme vs. the Hero, but USB 3.2, SATA, and the like were all on point.

Intel H670, B660 and H310 Mobo Specs Revealed

The specifications H670, B660 and H610 motherboard specifications have leaked courtesy of @momomo_us. If they turn out to be accurate—and given momomo’s track record, we have no reason to doubt they won’t be—it points towards H670 and B660 series chipsets being highly capable, though we don’t expect too much from cheap H610 boards. Affordable boards to pair with upcoming i3 and i5 CPUs will be very welcome indeed, though.

BIOSTAR Z690 VALKYRIE – Tom’s Hardware

The Biostar Z690 Valkyrie is a capable motherboard with an overbuilt VRM, four M.2 sockets, eight SATA ports, 2.5 GbE and an updated (though polarizing) appearance. If you’re in the market for a sub-$600 board, this works, but there are other options that include Wi-Fi, use the latest audio codec, and a more premium aesthetic at this price.
