ASRock X570 Taichi Razer Edition

The Razer Edition is a great board, and you don’t necessarily have to be a fan of Razer to use it. This is due to the addition of Chroma that allows addressable RGB for the entire motherboard independently, the chipset, edge lighting, and VRM can all be different colors if you want.

I’m extremely happy to see ASRock put effort into this board on the hardware side, making it a new hardware design with beefed-up power delivery for Zen 3 and swapped out the entire networking arrangement for a gaming driven platform with Killer Networks E3100G and AX1650.

ASRock Launches Deep Mini-ITX EPYC Board

The ASRock ROMED4ID-2T features a socket SP3 and supports AMD’s EPYC 7002-series processors in the LGA4094 packaging. The manufacturer does not disclose how much power the motherboard can deliver to the CPU or the list of processors compatible with the unit. But it is unlikely that this particular platform is designed for the highest-end EPYC chips.

GIGABYTE B550 AORUS MASTER

The board itself has a number of amazing features to look over, starting Dual Channel ECC/ Non-ECC Unbuffered DDR4, 4 DIMMs. You got Direct 16 Phases Digital VRM Solution with 70A Power Stage, along with an advanced thermal design with Fins-Array Heatsink, Direct Touch Heatpipe, and Thermal Baseplate. The plate is a bit of an oddity, depending on the model you’re hooking it into, it can make thermal contact with parts of the PCB, so something to keep an eye on when installing.

ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PLUS

With the B550 TUF Gaming series, ASUS offers motherboards in the middle price segment. You can choose from two ATX and Micro-ATX mainboards, one with and one without WIFI. We take a closer look at the ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus variant. This is the version in ATX format and without WIFI. You can find out everything else in our test. The ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus was provided to us by ASUS.

MSI X570-A PRO

The MSI X570-A PRO is a very inexpensive motherboard from MSI. At the time of this writing, it can be had for around $139.99 and is one of the cheapest motherboards utilizing AMD’s venerable premium X570 chipset. This cheaper price does need to be taken into consideration moving forward, a price point such as this comes with its own expectations. We have to put ourselves into the mindset of this price range, and what components the end-user is installing around it.

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X & 5900X – Breaking 5GHz

The Ryzen 5000 series processors land at significantly higher recommended price points than the previous-gen models, and you’ll have to bring your own cooler. The price for entry on the low end is also higher than we’re accustomed to, not to mention that you’ll have to drop an extra $150 to move up from the six-core Ryzen 5 5600X to the eight-core Ryzen 7 3800X. At least 500-series motherboards are plentiful, and we now have B550 motherboards for budget platforms.

ASUS Radeon RX 6800 XT STRIX OC LC

ASUS submitted a Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card for review; this one is a bit more special though as it has been fitted with hybrid cooling. Yes, you’ll see Liquid cooling applied on the primary GPU area, and then a fan can cool down some of the additional components. The result is a graphics card that looks stunning and is very silent, as well. The card was fabbed around a custom PCB, premium components, a hybrid cooler, and increased clock frequencies, as well as an increased power limiter.

XFX Radeon RX 6800 XT Speedster MERC 319

XFX is back to game hard; this round, we check out their all-new RX 6800 XT MERC SpeedSter 319, a card that was fabbed around a custom PCB, premium components, a custom 3-fan cooler, and seriously ramped up clock frequencies as well as an increased power limiter. Oh and MERC is short for Mercury, by the way. It has been a long wait for AMD and, sure, us. When the first NAVI based graphics cards were launched, they became well respected. The 5600 and 5700 series does offer some good performance.

Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 XT NITRO+

The 6800 XT which we review in this article receives 72 activated CUs multiplied by 64 shader units is 4608 shading processors. This card gets 16 GB of GDDR6 memory based on a 256-bit memory bus, not to confuse with the new GDDR6X memory NVIDIA is using for RTX 3080 and 3090. So that means 512 GB/s of memory bandwidth and, in fact, would be equal to the bandwidth of the GeForce RTX 3070.
