ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4

The ASRock Fatal1ty X370 GAMING K4 is right in the middle of ASRock’s AMD X370 product stack and is clearly focused on gaming; I mean, it’s in the name, right? Yet with a very modest price of roughly US$150, this isn’t a board for a person wanting to clock the crap out of their CPU and RAM. It’s not meant to be the best there is; rather, it’s an affordable option with the majority of features present, but not all.

ASRock X370 Taichi

Definitely one of my favorite motherboard manufacturers, ASRock continues to raise the bar when it comes to features and performance at any given price point. This trend continues today with their latest AM4 offering in the X370 Taichi motherboard which pushes the envelope of price/performance ratio and awesome factor.

ASRock X399 Taichi

ASRock’s X399 Taichi takes full advantage of the new X399 chipset and includes many of ASRock’s unique features. ASRock X299 Taichi

The X299 Taichi’s CPU-fed M.2 slot is likely the biggest competitive advantage of the three LGA 2066 motherboards tested thus far. Though the way its extra M.2 slot is connected precludes SLI when used with Kaby Lake-X, the X299 Taichi is cheap enough to offset the cost of a Skylake-X CPU upgrade.

ASRock X299 Taichi

ASRock’s Taichi products are one of my favorites. They are very clearly designed for users just like me. They make use of all the platform’s features and add nothing extra or superfluous; it’s just nitty-gritty goodness that soothes the soul. The ASRock X299 Taichi definitely does this, but there are a couple ripples on the lake’s surface that have left me a bit perplexed.
