ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – CowcotLand

After testing a number of ASRock motherboards, then a little stint at MSI, we are back at ASUS with the ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI. A high-end motherboard, equipped with large VRM and gaming oriented that can be found in the 540 euros at the best price. ASUS Z690 & B660 Roundup – Tech Testers

The cheapest ASUS board that passed us was the B660-Creator D4 with a price tag of 235 euros. ASUS is known to be a bit more expensive, and we can understand that in part as their bios and software experience is generally just a bit better than the rest. But B660 boards in this segment struggle with mid-range Z690 boards that often go a bit further with features.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – Tom’s Hardware

Asus’ ROG Strix Z690-E Gaming WIFI hails from the upper mid-range segment of Z690 motherboards. And yes, what constitutes mid-range these days is quite a bit higher than it used to be. Priced at $469.99, the Z690-E Gaming WIFI isn’t cheap, but it’s one of the least expensive Z690 boards with an integrated PCIe 5.0 M.2 socket. But the Z690-E Gaming is more than just the M.2 socket. It has capable power delivery, a whopping 12 rear USB ports, the latest Realtek audio codec, and an appearance fit for any build theme.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – GreenTech_Reviews

Key features of the board are highlighted in the official slides below. One of the key features of ASUS motherboards (any series based on the Intel Z690 chipset) is the presence of holes for mounting cooling systems that are compatible not only with LGA1700, but also with LGA1200 / 115x. But you need to be careful – the height of the new processor is different from the previous one, so not all cooling systems can be installed with the proper pressure level.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – Vortez

This motherboard has a lot to offer – regardless of which way you come in at, whether its storage, memory options, or USB connectivity as a few examples, it serves up a good helping in each department. ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – Vmodtech

That’s the full detail of the ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI motherboard, which is considered a second-tier board, but it’s packed with a lot of essentials. If you look at the capabilities of the board itself, Pairing with the INTEL CORE i7 12700KF CPU is a fairly suitable match: the price level is 18,590 baht, which is about 10,000 baht more expensive than its predecessor. As for the overclocking capabilities, from a few days of trying and using at 5.0 GHz, I consider it stable, which is not sure how quickly the new bios can be pushed upwards. Usually we’ll have to wait.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – Overclockers Russia

Like many modern motherboards, there is a plastic shroud on the left. In fact, this is not a casing, but a continuation of the radiator, which turns out to be simply huge. In its middle part, above the rear panel connectors, there is an insert with an inscription with the ASUS ROG logo and an RGB LED module inside. Above is written ROG Strix Gaming.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI – HardwareCooking

On a standard ATX format, this motherboard uses, as its name suggests, the Intel Z690 chipset on an LGA 1700 socket. It will therefore accept 12th generation Intel Alder Lake-S processors. As for several generations in the mainstream sector, this motherboard is able to manage 128 GB of memory at most, but this is done here in DDR5. This memory can go up to a frequency of 6400 MHz. For the power supply stage, it’s very strong. Indeed, we have no less than 18 + 1 Renesas ISL99390 90 A power supply phases. Everything is controlled via a Renesas RAA229131 controller.
