Contents of the box are slim compared to our X470 “top-tier” expectations, but for a B450 board, they cover all the bases with a padded backplate, pair of SATA cables, direct-attach Wi-Fi antenna, LED extension cable, case badge, driver disk, various documentation, and adhesive cable labels.

Gigabyte has managed to make a pretty impressive motherboard for an even more impressive price. What really amazed me with the Aorus pro WiFi motherboard was just how many premium features there are in a $120 board, including some my $140 X470 board doesn’t even have!

Gigabyte’s B450 Aorus Pro uses a shared platform for most of Gigabyte’s low-end to mid-range AM4 offerings, all motherboards on this platform (B450 Aorus Pro WiFi, B450M DS3H, B450 Aorus M, X470 Ultra-Gaming [WiFi], X470 Gaming 5 [WiFi]) use roughly the same design and VRM implementation, with slight adjustments to differentiate between price points and form factors.

The MSI B450 Tomahawk is actually a very impressive motherboard for a motherboard that comes in just under $100. It has a very color neutral aesthetic, which adds a lot of value in this price segment. The large VRM heat sink seems to be quite effective of trying to lower the VRM temperature while covering up part of the rear IO panel.
