Supermicro X11SPM-TPF

The Supermicro X11SPM-TPF is a platform we have wanted to review since it originally came out. This is a mATX Intel Xeon Scalable motherboard which means it has relatively diminutive dimensions. Additionally, it utilizes the onboard Intel LAN function to provide dual SFP+ networking along with expansion capabilities in that compact package.

GIGABYTE MD71-HB0

GIGABYTE packed the C622 chipset motherboard with all sort of awesome features. To start with, it’s equipped with 6 RJ45 ports for 1GbE, 10GbE, remote management, and serial connections. There’s also plenty of storage options with a total of 14 SATA3 ports (2 with DOM support), two U.2 ports via two SlimSAS connectors, and dual M.2 22110 connectors.

Supermicro X11SPI-TF

Supermicro’s X11SPI-TF single socket P (LGA 3647) is a server motherboard with an ATX form factor. It utilises Intel’s C622 chipset which has 20 PCIe lanes, 10 USB 3.0 ports, 14 SATA ports, and 8x PCIe Uplink. The chipset also offers support for Intel Virtualization technology (VT-d), vPro, RST enterprise, Node Manager, and Platform Trust Technology (PTT).

The Supermicro X11DPi-NT is a dual socket Intel Xeon Scalable motherboard that has everything onboard to be a solid storage platform. This is also the first dual socket motherboard we are reviewing utilizing the Intel C622 PCH.

Supermicro X11SPH-nCTF

As our first motherboard reviewed for the Intel Xeon Scalable Processor generation, the Supermicro X11SPH-nCTF certainly feels like a next-generation platform. We are going to review the motherboard from the perspective of forming the foundation of a storage server because it has so many storage related features such as an onboard Broadcom SAS3 controller.
