As with many server-focused motherboards, even in more ‘standard’ form factors, the GIGABYTE MZ72-HB0 focuses mainly on functionality and substance over style. The Gigabyte Z590 Vision G is a striking motherboard. Gigabyte has once again done a good job of creating a white theme that stands out visually, but still fits a wide array of components. While the RGB LED implementation lags behind some other boards in terms of complexity, brightness, and customization, diffusion is excellent, and the placement blends in seamlessly with the board’s theme. Combined with the great storage options including four M.2 slots, the Gigabyte Z590 Vision G makes for a compelling package.
GIGABYTE went into designing this board with one thing in mind, leaving nothing on the table, and judging by the board’s design, we can undoubtedly say they accomplished their goal. Top to bottom, this board supports both 10th and 11th Generation Core processors with memory support ranging from DDR4 2133 through 5400 with an overclock. This is across four slots, 288 pin DIMMS max capacity 128GB.

We applaud Gigabyte for using a VRM that is high quality and practically bulletproof, however we wish they had given more consideration to the overall package. While we would like to see Wi-Fi 6e, POST code debug and micro buttons we understand those features would add extra cost. On the other hand it would surely cost nothing to give the BIOS an overhaul and ditch those anonymous Auto settings that tell the user practically nothing about the inner workings of this enthusiast motherboard.
The B560M AORUS ELITE is an affordable way to be able to use Intel’s latest 11th Gen CPUs. Offering great performance at an affordable price while not diminishing on quality and design. The M-ATX form factor is going to allow for slightly smaller builds overall vs ATX but it still has dual PCIe x16 slots and two M.2 slots as well. While it may only have a single Gen4 slot of each, this should be enough for most current users wanting to make the leap to the latest Intel platform. Overall the smaller M-ATX form factor hasn’t missed out on much that the bigger boards would have, and performance is still on point as well.
Gigabyte was one of the first to make motherboards specifically made for creators. If you remember they had their “Designare” boards, but when Z490 launched they switched the naming from that to “Vision”. Now with Z590 the “Vision” naming is back and today we are going to be taking a look at the Z590 Vision G. This board of course supports the latest Intel 11th generation Core processors and has PCI-Express 4.0 connectivity, but definitely has some creator-specific features like four M.2 slots, USB 3.2 gen 2×2 connectivity and Gigabyte’s Vision LINK I/O, a DP-in port, and a very sleek white and silver design. In our testing, all boards performed well, easily mixing in with our other test results, including full-size and more-expensive options. Out of the box, the ASRock board is the most hamstrung by Intel’s power limits, while the other boards tend to run a bit more free in comparison. But all you need to do to get the ASRock up to par with the other boards is to raise its power limits. The performance difference was negligible outside of the long-running tests, where the turbo time/limits come into play. Gaming performance was similar among all the boards, as was memory bandwidth and latency testing. Outside of a couple of outliers, all boards performed similarly, especially when the playing field was leveled by removing the stock limits.
