GIGABYTE B550 AORUS MASTER

AMD’s B550 chipset has finally launched, and we get to look at Gigabyte’s flagship B550 Aorus Master offering. Can the price reduction for the B550 silicon versus X570 prove sufficient in freeing budget for Gigabyte to cram in features typically associated with higher-end X570 motherboards?

GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO

The trio all features an integrated I/O shield. The Pro and Elite share the same power-delivery consisting of a 12-phase supply to the CPU plus another two for the SoC. In detail, the boards use a six-phase Intersil ISL229004 PWM that’s doubled and connected to 12 Vishay SiC651C phases each capable of 55A. These appear to be unique to B550 as the Aorus X570 boards use different setups.

GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX

With fewer slots than we’ve seen on the ATX versions of the B550 chipset the Aorus Pro AX ITX actually ends up being, on average, more PCI Express 4.0 than the rest. The sole PCI Express slot is the 64Gb/s PCIe 4.0, whilst there is one PCIe 4.0 and one PCIe 3.0 M.2 slots for your storage needs.

GIGABYTE Z490 VISION G

In this review we look at the Gigabyte Z490 VISION G. The new series is aimed to become the more affordable solution at 199 USD, it might not have AX WIFI, but still has that Intel 2.5 Gbps ethernet jack. That and some pretty fancy design choices from an aesthetic point of view.

GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS XTREME

Aorus is the enthusiast arm of Gigabyte, and the Z490 Xtreme is the highest-specified board for anyone not requiring explicit watercooling – there’s the Xtreme WaterForce model for that. Previously reviewed Xtreme boards have had a distinctive, minimalist look evidenced by almost board-wide cooling, rotated ports, and restrained RGB. This, unmistakably, is an Xtreme, and it looks really good in the flesh.
