Networking connectivity includes Wi-Fi 63 with the Intel AX210 chipset; LAN is powered by the Marvell AQC113C 10Gbe, supporting the multi-gig operation. USB 3.2 is supported throughout the board with an external port on the rear I/O and internally with headers. The rear I/O includes a Gen2x2 and five Gen2 ports in red and another four Gen 1 ports in blue. Gigabyte’s Z690 Aero G DDR4 is designed for the Creators looking to get into Intel’s latest platform, without spending a lot of money. The Aero G costs $289.99 and is one of the least-expensive Z690 boards marketed to creators and professional types. The Aero G comes with four M.2 sockets and six SATA ports for ample storage options, plenty of USB ports on the rear IO, the latest Realtek audio codec, 2.5 GbE and integrated Wi-Fi 6, competent power delivery, along with a more professional appearance than many other boards aimed at gamers and overclockers.

GIGABYTE Z690 UD DDR4 – ITHardware

One of the latter is the heroine of today’s article, i.e. GIGABYTE Z690 UD DDR4. This test should therefore be of interest to people looking for an affordable model, as the aforementioned design is one of the cheapest in its class, with a purchase price of approx. PLN 900, which is a low amount for the Z690 chipset (yes, I know that it used to be cheaper). In other words, it is potentially an attractive proposition for those looking to acquire Alder Lake, but of course the price alone is not enough.

The ATX form factor measures up to 305 × 244 mm, and the E-ATX form factor up to 305 × 330 mm. The motherboard Gigabyte Z690 Aero G measures 305 × 244 mm, therefore it is made in the ATX form factor, and it has 9 mounting holes for installation in a case. Note, however, that one of the nine mounting holes is covered by a heatsink for the M.2 slot.
