The Asus ProArt Z690-Creator WiFi starts from the premise that a content creator needs the best connectivity for external devices and networks. With this in mind, it integrates two rear USB-C 3.2 Gen2x2 ports compatible with Thunderbolt and DisplayPort , as well as a front one and numerous USB 3.2 ports . The mix of networks is also exceptional with a 10 GbE , another 2.5 GbE and a Wi-Fi 6E with BT 5.2. For the rest, it is not a motherboard that attracts too much attention, since its design is quite sober and elegant and the rest of the features are in the average of the Z690 with DDR5.

GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS XTREME WATERFORCE – $2000+ Limited Supply

The motherboard is equipped with a pre-installed liquid cooling monoblock covering both the CPU socket as well as Z690 Xtreme’s power section, and there are a lot of heat-generating components to cool down. The Core i9-12900K CPU alone will boost up to 241 Watts and that’s before it is even overclocked.

At first glance, we can see that the Z690 AORUS Xtreme gets a total makeover for the box design with an even fancier looking AORUS Eagle than the Z590 AORUS Xtreme and we can clearly see that they’re pushing hard on the PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support on the Z690 chipset board. The Pro series never disappoints, and proof of this will be its 4 M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots with heatsinks, PCIe 5.0 slot or its capacity for DDR5 modules up to 6200 MHz . It also has USB Gen2x2 , ALC4080 sound card , reinforced slots and video port. Although it is surprising that it is limited to Wi-Fi 6 (not 6E), but they are necessary details to lower the price not of much importance in practice.
