MSI MPG X570S CARBON MAX WIFI – HardwareLuxx

MSI had opted for a weaker CPU power supply with the MPG-X570 mainboards and made up for it with the B550 counterparts. And we would like to anticipate one thing at this point: MSI’s MPG X570S CARBON MAX WIFI also comes with powerful voltage converters that are very well suited for overclocking sessions. But the equipment of the board is more than worthy of the middle class. So let’s take a closer look at the board.

MSI MPG X570S CARBON MAX WIFI – GDM

Also , compared to the predecessor model “MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI” , the power supply circuit has changed from 10 + 2 phase to 14 + 2 phase , and the board is also server grade with a server grade 4-layer PCB to 2 ounce thick copper foil layer. Upgrade to 6-layer PCB . As a result, heat generation can be suppressed even under high load, and the stability of the system is also improved.

MSI MEG Z690 UNIFY – El Chapuzas Informatico

In the upper we find the new LGA 1700 that supports processors Intel Alder Lake of 12th Generation , being slightly elongated in the previous generation. Around it, we have a powerful VRM of 19 + 2 phases of 105A controlled by the so-called Digital Smart Power Stage . These in turn take power from two 8-pin ATX connectors , very necessary for the high consumption of the new Intel Core i9-12900K . Equally necessary is the large aluminum heatsink that covers the VRM, connected both areas with a heatpipe .

MSI MAG Z590-A PRO – Tom’s Hardware

The Z590-A Pro has capable power delivery, three M.2 sockets, 2.5 GbE, six SATA ports, and a unique checkerboard pattern on the PCB. But some sacrifices are inevitable at this price point. On this board specifically, two of the three M.2 sockets do not have a heatsink. The audio codec is dated, and there’s no included Wi-Fi (although there is a Wi-Fi model, for a bit more). But in this price range, these kinds of limitations are to be expected.
