XFX Radeon RX 6800 XT Speedster MERC 319

The new XFX Radeon RX 6800 XT Speedster 319 is a great graphics card that its unique name aside, has some killer performance. It’s everything AMD’s own Radeon RX 6800 XT reference graphics card, and more — it’s bigger, it’s much cooler, much quieter, and packs a very nice additional punch — and as a bonus, some great OC abilities, too.

XFX is using a custom PCB here, with a huge 2.7-slot card that rocks a triple-fan cooler and (surprisingly) only 2 x 8-pin PCIe power connectors. XFX is throwing on another $50 premium for the Radeon RX 6800 XT Speedster MERC 319 at $749 (versus $699 for the reference RX 6800 XT).

ASUS Radeon RX 6800 XT STRIX OC LC

ASUS submitted a Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card for review; this one is a bit more special though as it has been fitted with hybrid cooling. Yes, you’ll see Liquid cooling applied on the primary GPU area, and then a fan can cool down some of the additional components. The result is a graphics card that looks stunning and is very silent, as well. The card was fabbed around a custom PCB, premium components, a hybrid cooler, and increased clock frequencies, as well as an increased power limiter.

XFX Radeon RX 6800 XT Speedster MERC 319

XFX is back to game hard; this round, we check out their all-new RX 6800 XT MERC SpeedSter 319, a card that was fabbed around a custom PCB, premium components, a custom 3-fan cooler, and seriously ramped up clock frequencies as well as an increased power limiter. Oh and MERC is short for Mercury, by the way. It has been a long wait for AMD and, sure, us. When the first NAVI based graphics cards were launched, they became well respected. The 5600 and 5700 series does offer some good performance.

Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 XT NITRO+

The 6800 XT which we review in this article receives 72 activated CUs multiplied by 64 shader units is 4608 shading processors. This card gets 16 GB of GDDR6 memory based on a 256-bit memory bus, not to confuse with the new GDDR6X memory NVIDIA is using for RTX 3080 and 3090. So that means 512 GB/s of memory bandwidth and, in fact, would be equal to the bandwidth of the GeForce RTX 3070.

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT + RX 6800 Overclocking

Overall there is some great performance gains to be had from overclocking both the Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800 gaphics cards. I’m interested to see how custom solutions from the likes of MSI, SAPPHIRE, XFX, PowerColor, and others do — many of these have custom Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800 cards on their way to me now.

AMD Radeon RX 6000 Details Leak

AMD’s Big Navi will feature 80 Compute Units (5120 Stream Processors). This card will be (for now) AMD exclusive. The Radeon RX 6900XT will be the AMD flagship series, which according to our sources will be in limited quantity. The card would allegedly feature 16GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit bus. The graphics card would feature a 2040 MHz game clock and a 2330 MHz boost clock.
