Intel X299 Motherboard Review Collection
On top of being packed full of anything you can ask for the board even has unexpected features like a Wireless AD adapter in addition to the standard a/b/g/n/ac adapter and it even has a what they call LiveDash, a small display that is customizable and goes well beyond the standard LED post indicator. So today I’m going to try to get through all of the features of the Prime X299 Deluxe and see what else Asus is hiding.

The MSI X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC is, like our comparison board, slightly too new and . . . evolving. We’ll continue to examine its performance as we visit other X299 products. However, we can say that the X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC comes in at a more affordable price (so far) for this category, even if it’s lacking some of the higher end features.

We review the X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC review from MSI. A motherboard with looks and many features on which to embark with that new Core X processor series. This motherboard is intended for Intel’s Skylake-X processors that will be released this summer based on Socket LGA2066, however, the motherboard also supports Kaby Lake-X procs in the form of the quad-core Core i7 7740K and Core i5 7640K.

t’s a little less flashy than its predecessor, with none of the orange detailing – it’s an all-grey/black affair with a large grey heatsink covering the eight-phase power circuitry, while onboard RGB lighting means you can tweak the aesthetic to suit you. However, even that is a little more restrained than the previous model, as there are no PCI-E slot LEDs.
