As we’ve come to expect with AMD platform launches, plenty of updates coming in fast. Each successive update bringing stability and compatibility improvements. This latest entry in the ASRock X570 Taichi is easily my favorite X570 motherboard thus far.

Today we take a look at ASRock’s X570 Taichi motherboard, a line of motherboards we have traditionally been very impressed with. The new Taichi seems to be more loaded than the traditional Taichi models, which makes sense since the new chipset offers higher-end features and requires higher-end hardware to fully support those features.

The ASRock X570 Taichi is the latest in a line of premium motherboards that ASRock produce, offering a surfeit of features and performance. As you might have already heard, perhaps the biggest inclusion with the new X570 chipset is the long-awaiting PCI-E 4.0 specification, offering double the bandwidth, and full backwards compatibility, of the previous generation.

With the X570 chipset ASRock wants to continue that tradition. ASRock has really seemed to go all out with this motherboard, if you look at all of ASRock’s current Taichi boards this is definitely the best looking out of the bunch and really stands out. ASRock has loaded this board with some pretty awesome RGB lighting and a large heatsink that covers the entire bottom half of the board.

It’s not all show and no go though. The “XXL Aluminium Alloy” VRM heatsink and heatpipe combo offer big cooling performance for the motherboards overclocking abilities. There’s an impressive 14 Power Phase setup under there, running a bank of 60A power chokes, with an 8+4 12v power delivery. Not the most extreme we’ve seen, but it’s certainly enough to class it as enthusiast overclocking ready.
