MSI MEG X570S Ace Max, belongs to MSI’s flagship series motherboard. What is more interesting is that it is positioned in MSI’s X570S series, but its essence is the X570 chipset. It’s been a while since we got a new firmware update on the AMD 500-series platform. The last one, the AGESA 1.2.0.4, and its respective patches were launched back in September and with new Ryzen CPU families coming to the platform real soon, a new BETA BIOS was inbound for launch.
According to MSI, the major changes that the new AMD AGESA 1.2.0.5 BIOS firmware adds is first of all the update to the new firmware which also updates the SMU firmware for AMD’s Ryzen CPUs including Vermeer (Ryzen 5000), Cezanne (Ryzen 5000G), Picasso (Ryzen 3000G) and Raven Ridge (Ryzen 2000G).

Connectivity is huge for this board; AORUS has stacked it with USB 3.2 and even legacy USB 2.0 for low latency for keyboards and mice. EFI BIOS has gone unchanged; consumers sticking with AORUS will enjoy this as it is an easily navigated platform with a short learning curve, though it does have some issues when using a mouse.

The X570S AORUS Master comes in the typical Gigabyte motherboard packaging we are used to. On the front of the box we have a large AORUS logo. Flipping over to the back many of the features of the board are detailed, there is a list of specifications, and an overview of the rear I/O connections.
Getting everything out of the box as far as accessories we have a WiFi antenna, set of AORUS stickers, two thermal probes, four SATA cables, RGB extension cable, AORUS case badge, Q-connector, two AORUS velcro straps, M.2 screws, and a user’s guide.
